Freshman Bridge

Good Day, Parents!

Dunwoody High School’s Freshman Bridge Program is scheduled for Thursday, July 25, 2019 from 8:45 am to 12:15 pm. Our incoming freshmen (from PCMS or pre-registered) will participate in several activities throughout the course of the morning.

This year we will provide the freshmen with a robotics introduction, Counseling Department discussion of the courses they will take in the various content areas, a school video, tour and info on sports, clubs / extracurricular activities.

Important Note:

This year we will offer the option for parents to complete proof of residency and emergency contact information sheets for their 9th grade student at Freshman Bridge. This can be done in the attendance office to save them time at Open House / Registration Day on August 1st.

DHS Freshman Bridge Agenda:

8:45 – 9:10 a.m. Student Arrival - Administrative Welcome in the Auditorium

9:15 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. Student Breakout Sessions

12:15 p.m. Parents return to pick up

Open House

Greetings!

Open House is an annual opportunity for parents and students to visit schools prior to the start of the new school year.   Open House allows parents and students a great opportunity to receive pertinent information (schedules, bus rider agreements, bus routes, etc.), and become excited about the upcoming school year. Additionally, agendas, lockers, PTA membership, school spirit wear and other resources to support the learning environment are shared with parents and students during this time.

Please save the following date and times for DHS registration day:

Thursday, August 1, 2019

  • 9th Grade (11:30am-1:30pm)
  • 10th Grade (1:45pm-3:45pm)
  • 11th -12th Grade (4:00pm-6:00pm)

We will also be offering additional opportunities for you, parents, to come to the DHS Attendance Office and provide Proof of Residence on the following dates and times, to save you time during Open House:

  • July 22nd (9am-11am & 1pm-3pm)
  • July 23rd (9am-11am & 1pm-3pm)
  • July 24th (9am-11am & 1pm-3pm)
  • July 25th (9am-11am)

We look forward to meeting, serving, and supporting you during Open House!
