Greetings parents,

As you all are aware,  DCSD will open on a two-hour delay for all students and staff on December 11, 2018 due to potential inclement weather and black ice.  Students can begin arriving to Dunwoody HS at 9:30am. We will serve a modified breakfast beginning at 9:30am.  First period (1st) will begin at 10:10am. We have adjusted the bell schedule so that students will attend all four class periods.  Students will receive the bell schedule tomorrow during 1st period.  Lunch will consist of a modified hot meal.

Students who attend Fernbank, Cross Keys, and Warren Tech will not report to those sites tomorrow.  Students are to report to and remain at Dunwoody HS for the day.  Below are questions & answers you may have concerning the two-hour delay.

Question: On a two-hour delay, what time will my child's bus arrive at the bus stop?
Answer: Buses will arrive at the stop TWO hours later than normal pick up time. For example, if a bus normally arrives at 6:30 a.m., it will arrive at 8:30 a.m. This includes magnet and charter schools.

Question: What time is dismissal on Tuesday, December 11?
Answer: Schools will be dismissed at normal time.

Question: Will after school programs be impacted?
Answer: No, after school programs will follow the normal schedule.

Question: How will high school EOC testing be handled on December 11?
Answer:
• Tuesday, December 11, 2018 will serve as a non-testing day.
• Wednesday, December 12 - American Literature III (Gr 11), GSE Coordinate Algebra Part I (Gr 9) , and Physical Science Part II (Gr 10)
• Thursday, December 13 - Make-up Day
