Dunwoody Fencing Rises to the Top!
Congratulations the Men's and Women's Fencing teams. Dunwoody hosted a tournament last weekend with six other schools. Not only did the women's team win the most points for the tournament, the Women's team is now Ranked #1 for the Georgia High School Fencing League (out of 19 teams)!
Hannah Soderberg earned a Bronze Medal, placing 3rd.
We had 12 members of the women's team advance to the direct eliminations's including first-time fencer Clara Dixon! Hannah Soderberg, Megan Murphy, Samantha Kasowski, Honoka Miura, and Sara Gelber all earned points to push the women's team to 1st place out of 19 teams!
The Men's team was strong this week as well! Every member of the Men's Team advanced to Direct Eliminations. Sam James, Robbie Garber, Logan Norris, and Blake Donovan earned points for the team moving them from 17th to 7th place.
