New - The Wildcat Writing Center

DHS is happy to announce the opening of the Wildcat Writing Center (Room 2109), a place where students may go during lunch to receive help with their writing assignments. Three days a week (M,W,F), students may sign up for individualized writing tutorials. Two days a week (T, Th), the center will offer "Lunch and Learn" sessions focusing on specialized writing topics, like the college application essay.

College Essay Help: Getting Started
The Wildcat Writing Center is offering its first Lunch and Learn session, "Introduction to the College Essay," on the following dates: August 15, 17, 22, and 24. Hopefully, this will give students the direction they need in order to begin writing their college application essays. Revising Your College Essay
Once students have begun the writing process, they may bring their college essay drafts into the Wildcat Writing Center for individualized feedback. Workshops on revising the college essay will be offered on August 29, August 31, September 5, and September 7. Space in these workshops will also be limited, so stay tuned for information on how to sign up.
