[photo: Ms. Jiram] DHS Welcomes Ms. Jiram!

Please join me in welcoming our newest Assistant Principal Ms. Maria Jiram!  Ms. Jiram comes to us from Centennial HS in Fulton County where she served as the Graduation Coach, 504 coordinator, Virtual Recovery lab facilitator, and was a part of the Instructional Leadership Team.  Ms. Jiram is a former ESOL teacher and department chair, and she understands the needs of ELL students as she was an English Language Learner.  In her role as Graduation Coach, she played in integral role with helping raise the graduation rate by 10% (82.6 to 92.3) in three years!  She has served and collaborated with various stakeholders to ensure the success of all the students she encountered. She believes that all students have potential, all learn at a different pace, and in different ways. She believes that with hard work, collaboration, and perseverance success will follow.

Ms. Jiram earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Secondary English Education and ESOL endorsement from Florida International University and received a Masters and Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from Kennesaw State University.  Ms. Jiram will be a phenomenal addition to our leadership team, and we are excited that she is joining the Wildcat Family!
